The Sun Sets on Another Project

We got up a little later than usual and took the pups for a short walk around the neighborhood, so the sun is higher in the sky than normal. There are lots of different things to see around here that are not part of my normal walk.

Being in a different time zone always throws me for a day or two. So here we have the eastward view of sunrise (plus a few minutes) over the golf course. Smart people at home are still relishing a few last zzzzs in bed, but here, the golfers and walkers are already out and about.

You are correct in thinking this is not my usual river view. Maybe I will even get up early enough tomorrow to go for a walk and find a view that doesn’t include a cell phone tower. 😉

If I didn’t know otherwise, I’d think I had cheated and used a photo from yesterday. But yesterday didn’t have the reflection of clouds in the water. We are supposed to get rain again today.

It didn’t really matter which way I turned the camera, each shot ended up with a brilliant slash of sunshine cutting through the scene. The old north wind is blowing again, and it’s a little nippy out there. We can hardly complain, as we are nothing like a huge portion of the country who are

And, just like that, we get a few days’ break in the storm pattern. That’s a view lovely enough to cheer up even a non-morning person.

I don’t think this morning’s view would have looked any different if I’d taken this shot at 7:18 instead of 8:01. Drizzly and cool seems to be today’s theme. Still, with a predicted high today of 61°, I can hardly complain. (And if I did, Missoula would be quick to set me straight.)

This morning’s eastward view looks a bit on the dreary side, but thankfully, that’s not the only thing to be seen. We also have lots of blooms happening around here. (Lots of sneezing as well, but that’s another matter.)
